Granted Rights To Pyruvate

Irving, Texas (September 19, 2000) - Royal BodyCare, Inc (ROBE OTC:BB) has signed a contract with RTS Industries and Pharmaceuticals granting Royal exclusive rights worldwide to direct marketing of the stable and effective form of pyruvate, which is patented for many specific uses as a nutritional supplement discovered by Ronald T. Stanko, M.D. and others, and for its manufacturing processes.

Pyruvate is a compound formed in the metabolism of glucose and present in body tissues. It is essential to the production of energy, and metabolism in general, including that of fat.  It has been shown in clinical studies to increase fat loss by 48% in human subjects taking pyruvate with exercise and diet, compared to subjects on the same program of exercise and diet, who were not taking pyruvate.

Dr. Ronald Stanko, known as “the father of pyruvate”, has conducted research on pyruvate, primarily at the University of Pittsburgh, for more than 25 years. The RTS contract includes rights to licenses and cross-licenses with  chemical manufacturers, and Rolf Bunger, M.D., Ph.D., a world renowned pyruvate researcher, and other established scientists at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences, Bethesda, MD, and universities worldwide.

Drs. Stanko, Bunger and other scientists continue ongoing academic research at the University of Pittsburgh, Bethesda Naval Hospital, Walter Reed Hospital and hospitals worldwide to identify the physiologic benefits of pyruvate and other compounds with the goal of improvement of general health.
